BUILDING ON A DECADE-LONG LEGACY

Iron Strength changed owners in 2026 – read about the founders here.

DAN & JOE'S STORY

Unsurprisingly for those who know them, their story begins in 2021 – at a brewery, following a powerlifting competition. What started as a few casual conversations around a shared passion for strength sport quickly grew into a genuine friendship. Over the years that followed, those conversations evolved into discussions about long-term goals, where they realised that owning a gym had been a dream for both of them since their teenage years. And what better gym could there be than the one they already trained in?

Through years of attending Iron Strength, Dan fell in love with its facilities, its organisation, and – most importantly – its community. In countless late-night conversations with Elias (ISPP’s founder), he often said that if the gym was ever up for sale, he wanted to be the first to know. At the same time, Dan and Joe regularly spoke about how incredible it would be to see a lifelong dream become reality: not just owning a gym, but owning Iron Strength specifically. So when the email arrived confirming that the sale of the gym was now serious, their excitement was impossible to contain.

THEIR VISION

Coming from different backgrounds – though both southerners at heart – they bring unique perspectives, experiences, and ideas. What unites them is a shared belief in the power of community, the importance of culture, and a deep respect for strength sports.

Their vision is not just to maintain what makes Iron Strength special, but to grow it – to continue building a gym where people feel supported, challenged, and proud to belong.

This isn’t just a business to them. It’s a continuation of a legacy, and a commitment to the community that shaped them.
